Sorgten die diesjährigen Landtagswahlen für das eine oder andere doch überraschende Ergebnis, so setzten die Zillertaler Wählerinnen und Wähler noch eines drauf. Sie wählten anders! So erreichte die ÖVP im Zillertal mit 44% der gültig abgegebenen Stimmen in etwa das tirolweite Ergebnis der letzten Wahlen. Mehr als überraschend war das zillertalweite Ergebnis für die Grünen, die mit 4,08 Prozent nicht einmal den Einzug in den „Zillertaler Landtag“ geschafft hätten und das obwohl mehr als genug „grüne Themen“ immer wieder für Gesprächsstoff an den diversen Stammtischen sorgen. Die FPÖ lag mit 22,49% knapp 3% über, und die Liste Fritz 3% unter dem tirolweiten Ergebnis. Und ginge es nur nach den Stimmen der Zillertalerinnen und Zillertaler hätten die Neos mit 4,78 % und die MFG-Partei mit 2,36 % den Einzug in den Landtag nicht geschafft.
